Destination Street Art

Edito #89 | June – July 2026

Festival season has arrived. A welcome piece of news at a time as we all wonder where to head this summer. In today’s uncertain economic and geopolitical climate, it is impossible to ignore the growing disaffection for long-haul destinations.
Let us take the coming months as an opportunity to rediscover the festivals, hot spots, events and exhibitions flourishing across Europe, and particularly in France. In our agenda section, you will find a selection of must-see highlights, alongside a tribute to all the project initiators who continue to energise the Street Art scene with passion and dedication. Among them is the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region, home to Street Art City and its museum, immersive experience and artist residency programme; the Christiane Vallé Gallery and its exhibitions Inner Garden and Jo Di Bona Retrospectives; the 12th edition of Street Art Fest Grenoble-Alpes; as well as Impact Art France’s 1 Village, 1 Artist initiative.
Let us begin this Street Art tour with the Urban Art Biennale held at the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Völklinger Hütte (DE), before heading to the 10th edition of The Crystal Ship festival. Be sure not to miss Miami’s Museum of Graffiti (US) and takee a look at the Urban Cultures Trail in Bourgoin-Jallieu (FR), also in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region.
None of these events and cultural hot spots would exist without the talent and commitment of the artists themselves. In GraffitiART #89, we take you on the journeys of Case Maclaim and his photorealism; Sitou Matt and his generator of emotion; the MonkeyBird duo and their delicately monumental universe; Dan Witz, whose work reconciles classicism and vandalism; and finally, the pioneer of reverse graffiti seiLeise who reclaims forgotten urban spaces.
Through their creativity, vitality and insightfulness, the Street Art destinations offer us a way to recharge, clear our minds, and reflect upon the challenges of an increasingly complex world.
