Discreet or exuberant, feminine or androgynous, vandal or famous, women from graffiti and street art did not wait for permission to take the street and break the codes of a predominantly male art form without making a fuss. Each inspired by a unique creativity, these women artists develop different approaches and sensitivities. Creation has no sex, but women artists seem to stay in men’s shadow.
